celtic v arsenal (leg 2)

Does Mogga have the plan?

After a second consecutive home loss in the Champion's League qualifier can Celtic muster up the effort and luck needed to come out of London with a result? The odds are certainly against us and many in the press have already written off Celtic's chances. Guaranteed qualification into the newly branded UEFA cup definitely brings down the stress level for most Tims out there including me. Although I never wish defeat upon the Hoops I think we have seen in the Strachan era that we hit a ceiling in top flight European competition. Whereas winning the Europa league is a realistic goal in the short term and would bring long awaited European hardware to East Glasgow. ToMo has got quite the challenge ahead of him as the only strategy that seems to really work when an SPL side faces a team with much more financial resources is to pack the midfield, stay in the game and maximize rare scoring opportunities. When you need to win 2-0 just to go into a shoot out, that's an almost impossible task. Maloney and Fortuné seemed great against St-Johnstone on the weekend but can they reproduce their scoring touch against one of the EPL's dreaded top four? I'm not so sure. Maybe putting Scotland and Celtic great Gary Caldwell up front to take advantage of his proven "scoring touch"....

ENOUGH NEGATIVITY!

'MON THE CELTS!
